Collagen is essential to keeping the skin's youthful appearance. As we age we see a decline of collagen which leads to fine lines, wrinkles and sagging skin. Skin can also lose collagen due to injuries, such as acne scarring, stretch marks, or other scars. 

It is important to realize that micro-needling is not a quick fix, as it involves the growth of new skin. For best results, we recommend at least 3-4 treatments space one month apart, relying on maintenance with cosmetic acupuncture, and vitamin drips.

Though most popularly used on the face, chemical peels are highly effective for the face, neck, chest, back and hands.

Everyone’s skin reacts differently however most people will feel a slight tingling with the lighter chemical peels and a stronger stinging sensation with a medium chemical peel.

Hand held fans are used to cool the skin and any discomfort is closely monitored.

This depends if you receive a light or medium peel.

Light peel, you can expect redness and dryness for 24-48 hours but should not peel.

Medium peel, you can expect to peel from 7 – 10 days with the most peeling happening around day 3-5. The more moisturizer used the less peeling will occur.

Chemical peels can be repeated 7-10 later as long as the peeling has stopped.

Every person’s skin is different however you should see immediate brightening and tightening of the skin and pores will appear smaller. 

With a medium peel results may take longer due to peeling however they will be more dramatic.

If you are new to chemical peels your skin may purge by clearing out dirt, dead skin and oil from your pores. In some cases your face may break out. Be patient this is a healthy skin reaction that will result in longer term clear skin.

Step one: your face is cleaned using Province Apothecary Moisturizing Oil Cleanser.

Step Two: Depending on your skin the appropriate diamond tip will be used. Using short even strokes, the diamond tip vacuum suction will gently move across the skin, always ensuring the tip remains flush against the skin.

As the crystals make contact with your skin you will feel a mild scratching and as the treatment continues your will experience the sensation of a deep message. Your skin will have a slight redness for the first few hours.

Step Three: The spray function will be used to hydrate, repair and moisturize your skin. This will be followed by messaging a Province Apothecary Rejuvenating + Hydrating Face serum on your face and neck in a circular motion, minimizing pores and smoothing skin.

Step Four: Repeat in two to four weeks or as needed.

You can expect your skin to feel slightly tight right after the treatment and slightly warm like you have been out in the sun. It’s recommended to moisturize often as you may experience some dryness and refrain from using any cosmetics for the first 24 hours.

Though all skin types are different you will generally need more than one treatment depending the skin condition we are treating.

Initially 3 to 4 treatments spread no more than 7-10 days apart is recommended.

Maintenance is generally once a season.
