Naturopathic Medicine is founded on the principles of prevention and optimization. All patients are recommended quarterly checkups. Not only do they help you stop health problems before they arise, they leave you healthier than ever with more manageable symptoms.
A professional consultation is your first step to sustainable health that cannot be attained with medication alone. It involves a thorough health review, recommendations for further testing, and an individual treatment plan. Even if your current medication works for you, it's always possible to further optimize your health.
A Naturopathic Doctor is a healthcare practitioner. Naturopathic Doctors have 8 years of education and complete a year working internship before graduating.
Naturopathic Doctors differ from your GP as they focus on natural treatments instead of pharmaceutical drugs. They are trained in assessing blood-work and pharmacology to ensure safe administration of natural therapies without drug interactions or side-effects.
Accredited naturopathic doctors maintain membership with the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors and the association of their province.
