Contraindications

While VAMP™ is considered safe and well-tolerated, it may not be suitable for everyone. You should avoid treatment if you have any of the following:

Absolute Contraindications (treatment should not be performed):

Known allergy or sensitivity to fish, seafood, or salmon-derived products
Active skin infections, open wounds, or lesions in the treatment area
Active herpes simplex (cold sores) in the treatment area
Skin cancer or suspicious/undiagnosed skin lesions
Pregnancy or breastfeeding
Autoimmune skin disorders (e.g., lupus, scleroderma) affecting the treatment site

Relative Contraindications (treatment may be considered with caution/medical clearance):

Severe or uncontrolled chronic illnesses (e.g., diabetes, immune disorders)
Recent cosmetic procedures (chemical peel, laser, filler, or other injectables) within the past 2–4 weeks
History of keloid scarring or abnormal wound healing
Current use of blood-thinning medications or high-dose steroids
Active eczema, psoriasis, or dermatitis in the treatment area
Recent sunburn or excessive UV exposure

Is there downtime?

VAMP™ with Microneedling: This combination creates the most noticeable downtime. You may experience redness, mild swelling, and sensitivity for 24–48 hours, with some clients experiencing light peeling as the skin renews. Most people return to normal activities the next day, but we recommend avoiding makeup, sun exposure, and intense workouts for at least 24 hours.

VAMP™ Facial
This treatment combines advanced skin rejuvenation with your choice of dermaplaning or microdermabrasion for exfoliation.

With Dermaplaning: Minimal downtime. Mild redness may occur immediately after treatment but typically resolves within a few hours, leaving the skin smoother and more refined.
With Microdermabrasion: Minimal downtime. Skin may appear slightly pink following treatment, but this generally subsides within hours, revealing a refreshed, polished complexion.

What results should I expect?

Immediate: Many clients notice improved hydration, a healthy glow, and softer skin within the first few days.

What are the pre treatment instructions?

VAMP™ with Microneedling (most intensive)

Avoid retinoids, glycolic acid, salicylic acid, or other active exfoliants for 5–7 days prior.
Do not have Botox, fillers, laser, or chemical peels for at least 2 weeks before treatment.
Stop using self-tanner on the face for at least 1 week prior.
Avoid unprotected sun exposure or tanning beds for 2 weeks.
Discontinue blood-thinning medications/supplements (aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil, vitamin E) if approved by your physician.
Arrive with clean skin — no makeup, lotion, or sunscreen.

VAMP™ Facial

Avoid retinoids and exfoliating acids for 3–5 days before treatment.
Do not schedule waxing, threading, or other hair removal on the face for 1 week before.
Avoid direct sun exposure or tanning for 1 week.
Come with a clean, makeup-free face.

What are the post treatment care?

Following your treatment, proper aftercare will help you heal comfortably and maximize your results.

VAMP™ with Microneedling (some downtime)

Expect redness, mild swelling, or sensitivity for 24–48 hours.
Avoid makeup for at least 24 hours.
Do not use retinoids, glycolic acid, salicylic acid, or exfoliating products for 5–7 days.
Avoid strenuous exercise, saunas, or hot tubs for 24–48 hours.
Stay out of direct sunlight and always use a broad-spectrum SPF once skin has calmed.
Use only gentle cleansers, hydrating serums, and a soothing moisturizer for the first few days.

VAMP™ Facial (minimal downtime)

You may notice mild redness that usually resolves within hours.
Avoid active ingredients (retinoids, exfoliants, vitamin C serums) for 2–3 days.
Stay out of direct sun exposure and wear SPF daily.
Keep skin hydrated with a gentle moisturizer and nourishing serums.
