Acupuncture is a form of  Traditional Chinese Medicine that uses thin needles to stimulate points all over the body. Each point falls on a meridian that corresponds to a specific organ in the body.  By stimulating these points acupuncture can treat a wide variety of conditions.

A common question is "Does Acupuncture Hurt?" - Most people will not experience any feeling with the majority of the points used. A more common sensation is one of heaviness while the needle remains inserted. In Chinese Medicine this sensation is called De-Qi and is thought to be a positive sign that the point has been activated and is brining balance back to the meridian.

If you are looking to take advantage of all EAST ND has to offer, we recommend booking an initial consultation + acupuncture for your first visit.  This offers further investigation into your symptoms and additional recommendations can be made.

Both of our Naturopathic Doctors, Dr. Tatlock and Dr. Leduc are trained in Traditional Chinese Medicine and administer the acupuncture treatments.  Treatments are 30-45 minutes in length and done in a quite and peaceful environment to allow for total relaxation.
